Hyperscale data center buildouts and AI infrastructure investment are core engines of that growth, alongside high-bandwidth memory products like HBM — illustrated by SK Hynix's $12.9 billion facility in Cheongju. Asia-Pacific leads the market at $19.9 billion in 2024, though government programs like the U.S. CHIPS Act and EU CHIPS Act are actively funding domestic capacity to rebalance that geography over time.
