Just like every industry we cover in our market research, BCC Research is planning some big changes in the 2020s.
We sat down with the CEO of BCC Research, Ann Jacoby, to discuss the recent expansion of BCC’s library, as well as what the future holds.
BCC: How has BCC Research’s Library expanded?
Ann: The growth that we’ve seen just over the last year has been exciting. We’ve started out with producing 250 awesome reports. But with the way the world works nowadays, we knew we wanted to do more. That’s why we did the one thing no one has thought of: we partnered with other market research firms to provide a whole other world to our members. Now, we’ve got upwards of 20,000 reports available, and none of them are full-price for our members.
BCC: What prompted this change?
Ann: We’ve been around for 50 years providing companies and schools with market research. Over that time, we’ve seen the changes in the needs that people had. There are so many options out there, it can be overwhelming to find the right report. So, we decided to tackle that issue. And that is why our library has expanded.
BCC: What are the qualifications to acquire a membership?
Ann: There’s a couple of ways to become a member, and all of them are easy. You can buy a membership directly through our membership service. This is a good option for universities or tech transfer offices, as those come with a series of reports available.
But a membership is provided to anyone who buys a report! Simply use your login information to gain access to the portal, and from there it’s easy navigation to whichever report entices you. It’s quite easy to see which reports are free and the discounted price on the ones that aren’t.
BCC: What bonuses come with a membership?
Ann: There are quite a few key bonuses we want to make sure our members capitalize on. These include:
BCC: Where is the library headed from here?
Ann: We’re going places. I can’t spill all our secrets, but we’re negotiating deals with some awesome companies that will continue to add to our growing inventory.
It really boils down to the question: what do our members want? And from there, we search for the best partnerships to provide them with a plethora of reports, all at their fingertips.
