Announcing the Winner of our Startup Spotlight Contest

Written by Sarah Greenberg | May 22, 2020 2:00:00 PM

We want to send a big thank you to everyone who participated in our Startup Spotlight Contest and helped make it a success!

And a special congratulations to Wellth, the winner of a white paper written and designed by us, spotlighting the company and how Wellth’s technology is changing the world.

Wellth’s contest entry was our absolute favorite. Here’s how the Wellth team is staying productive and engaged during COVID19:

Wellth Buddies launched out of a desire to deepen connections among teammates during this work from home period. Each week, using a random name generator, two teammates are paired up as "buddies" and given a task to complete together. Every Friday, we report back our experience to our #wellthbuddies Slack channel.

Week 1 our activity was "teach your buddy something" where teammates taught things like how to make origami hearts to calming breathing techniques. Week 2 we came up with a list of "10 things in common", Week 3 we did "watch the same movie and give a review" which resulted in a great list of movie recommendations for the company, Week 4 we did a "scavenger hunt" where each team had to collect 20 things on the list and post pictures of it to a shared folder. Week 5 was "Hometown Fact" where we learned a fact from your buddy’s hometown.

Fantastic idea, right? It’s a simple, low-pressure way to make your team feel connected during quarantine and get team members whose paths don’t normally cross to get to know one another.
